Jan. 26th, 2009 01:52 pmIf you are bored with your old cordless phone, Verizon is releasing its 'Hub' VoIP phone on February 1. It's Linux-based, SIP and Web capable, with a few widgets (the number of which will probably be expanded going forward), based on "bring your own broadband" concept, so you don't have to have Verizon-provided broadband to be able to use this phone, and is integrated with VzW mobile phones for some services. It's going to be sold through Verizon Wireless but it's actually a land line phone, uses DECT to the handset.
