riontelAll the cool people are at CES this week. Well, I suppose that some losers went to bid goodbye to MacWorld but as far as apples go I prefer Golden Delicious so that's all I have to say about that. At CES, on the other hand, seems like lots of exciting things are happening.
For instance:
GeForce 3D Vision battery-powered wireless glasses for gamers. There is also one from iz3D along with the corresponding monitor.

A bit closer to my backyard is Ooma's Telo VoIP system. Ooh,something shiny competition.
There is another reason, if anybody was looking for one, not to buy Dell. Ignore that little Verizon Wireless mention, they are confused and misguided, wait till we take over.
And then there is a slew of LCDs from every TV maker and their uncle: LED-backlight (for eco-conscious individuals), built-in Blue-ray, wireless... You name it, they have it.
Another trend leads me to believe we will soon be able to stream NetFlix movies and YouTube videos (along with other exciting Internet based media content) on our toilet seat covers or something equally appropriate, this wonderful capability has already been stuffed into every other available device.
They have few more days to go, if you are interested in where the consumer electronics are headed check out CES site, CNET, engadget, or arstechnica (I am all about options).
