Went a few rounds with bureaucrats who audit our travel vouchers, trying to get my money back. Frustrated beyond endurance was complaining to the boss during our regular group call:

Me: I sent them a very civil angry reply.
Boss (dryly): I saw it.
Me: They pushed me to the edges of my diplomatic ability.
Somebody on the bridge: Which is not very far.

I was told today that I was bossy... After I asked "Could you do X please".
On a related note, I came to a realization today that most people are lazy and stupid.

You guys are very timid.

I have an old and mean Indian lady at work - she's a developer. Today I heard her with my own ears saying the following to the QA guy after a conference call, and she wasn't joking either:

- Shut your fucking mouth, you idiot! If you don't know what the fuck we're talking about, I don't wanna hear it, you just sit down and keep your fucking mouth shut.

I am still wondering where to place this on the "diplomatic ability" scale ;)
