Tech support
Feb. 1st, 2008 11:03 pmWorking on a demo setup in a non-company location (hotel). Asked them for a static publicly-routed IP. Get to the location. Test the connection. Discover the IP is being NATed. Complain to the local tech, he calls network management company tech support. Tier 1 learns a bunch of new acronyms and routing concepts and passes us on to a Tier 2. Tier 2 recognizes all the words but is not quite sure about causes/solutions. Tier 3 discovered they gave us an IP from the wrong range. Only took about four hours.
