riontelSpent two days in a meeting, going over the results of some tests we inflicted on our potential vendors.
Thrashed one of the participants:
- Doesn't anybody have anything good to say about them?
- Their security was very good.
- Yeah, any system that can't connect to the network is very secure.
One company did really badly while another was quite impressive:
- How can they improve their product?
- They can buy [the other company] and resell their products.
Not what you want to hear from your phone service provider:
- All we are required to provide [by government regulations] is 911 and CALEA (that's wire-tapping). Call processing is an extra bonus.
