A girl is walking into a building, three guys are standing, each holding a section of the door open for her. Tells you something about a number of women in our workplace.
Went to the secretary to complain about a faulty LAN drop. She complained right back: her iobi (digital workplace) was first defaulting to her old phone number, then the number changed but not to her new number, her director's line is not working, and they can't seem to be able to configure message waiting indicators on our phones so people keep missing their v-mails. "You know," - I suggest, - "we should call in a complaint to the phone company."
- We are a telecom company, why are we having such difficulty communicating?
- If they raise the walls of the cubes a bit, this will feel exactly like a prison cell.
- Don't know, feels more like a rat-maze to me.
- I usually work from home on Fridays but I had nothing to do so I came to the office.
- I heard there was some problem with water at your new location?
- Yeah, somebody drank it and got copper poisoning. Apparently, when she turned it on, the water was blue.
- I generally find it a good idea not to drink blue water.
