Aug. 1st, 2008 11:16 amMy laptop's Wireless Broadband connection is not working. Naturally, I called VZ Wireless tech support. After all sorts of usual voodoo and three consultations with some invisible guru the rep gives up:
- We tried every troubleshooting trick we could think of. We are going to call Dell.
Me, puzzled, - Dell? Why Dell? I have a Lenovo X60 ... as I told you.
- Is that not a Dell computer?
- No, it's a whole other company.
- What is the company that makes it?
- Mmm, Lenovo?
A bit later, collecting info for a trouble ticket (for a network rep to contact me within 3-5 business days!)
- What's your address?
I dictate my address, zip code, etc. She is looking it up on the map.
- Is that near upstate?
Я бьюсь в тихой истерике...
