Got my W-2 at work today. Standing in my cube perusing it looking none too happy. A guy passes by:

- Oh, don't cry, it can't be that bad.
- You kidding me? Somebody can live comfortably on what they took out of my paycheck!
- I could live comfortably on what they take out of my paycheck!

I don't think I can be called rich by any stretch. (If I understood the sentiment correctly?)

I did not mean you, I meant the other guy. If he can live comfortably on 1/3 of his current income, he's truly rich.

I don't know what he meant by "live comfortably", maybe it would include getting rid of his wife and two kids :)
