Until yesterday, every time I passed by this monstrosity I wondered:
"What was the architect smoking when he designed it and and who trusted approval of the neighborhood development plans to blind people?"

Yesterday I took a different route home and, with a casual glance, finally figured out what the idea behind this design was.

I still don't like it and think it's in poor taste. I still can't imagine who would agree to pay money to live in this ugly and impractical construction (I mean, really, open staircases? Which state do they think we live in, Florida?) But I understand their misguided message.

Date: 2005-08-25 08:39 am (UTC)The building will, hopefully, have an elevator so they won't have to use the stairs too much. Or do you think it'll be like the new Poly building - no space for stairs and no money for an elevator :)
