My boss does not perlustrate my mail, he can barely keep up with his own. And I don't actually use company mail for anything personal.

When I worked in that investment bank, everything I (or any other employee) typed on the keyboard was recorded by a corporate security system. I have no idea who (if anybody at all) read that, but potentially they could.

I can understand doing that in the bank. I am sure we have some sections of the company where they do something similar. But not here :)
