Jury Duty - conclusion

Well, my effort to uphold one of the fundamentals of our democracy did not quite work out. After seven hours of reading a book I was given my discharge notice and sent home with a promise not to be bothered for another six years.

No, I am frustrated that I spent seven hours in a freezing courtroom on a very uncomfortable bench and didn't even get to see the democracy getting ladled out.
