riontelMy group is looking to hire a recent college graduate.
Position Responsibilities
Researches, designs, plans, develops and evaluates new web2.0/telco2.0 service delivery technologies by translating customer requirements and strategic business objectives into service architectures and laboratory proof-of-concept implementations. The latter may require hands-on coding/lab development and/or coordination of these activities by others. Work includes interfacing with customer-facing organizations to understand business requirements and design of service delivery mechanisms to meet those needs. Activities may also include participation in industry standards-setting bodies to advocate for industry standards that support Verizon's strategic interests.
RECENT COLLEGE HIRE REQUIRED
Required Skills & Experience
* Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or similar
* Strong knowledge and proficiency in web and software development technologies including SOAP, XML, REST, RSS, AJAX, etc.
* Strong knowledge and proficiency in various programming languages, e.g., Java, C++, scripting/JavaScript, servlets
* Strong computer science/software engineering skills in the areas of algorithms, data structures, language processing, databases, use cases, requirements gathering, modeling, design, development, testing
* Strong communication skills - oral and written
* Works well in a team environment - strong inter-personal skills
Desired Skills & Experience
* Knowledge of telecommunications technologies including SIP, IMS, SIMPLE, Parlay, etc.
* Strong leadership skills
* Ability to bring a solid understanding of business strategies and industry context to the technical work
