Simple conversation about making tea can turn into this:

- I already have hot water, except it must be cold by now ... and oxidized. How long does it take for water to oxidize?
- Isn't it already oxidized?
- No, when you boil water it loses the oxygen. That's why fish can't live in boiling water.
- !?!

Если поместить рыбу в воду, кипящую при комфортной для этой рыбы температуре, то рыбе точно не хватит кислорода.

Are you sure that "oxidized" is a proper term for this? I thought oxidization was a chemical, not physical process.
I tried to look it up, and here, I think, is the exact term: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeration

:)
Имелось в виду, естественно, "boiled" а не "boiling" - это само собой разумеется.

I couldn't care less about the proper term, as I tend to when making jokes.
