Decided to take time off on Friday on account of flying to Minneapolis. Called my boss to let him know:
- I am taking a half day off on Friday. It's my first time off this year, so I hope you don't mind.
- Why don't you splurge and take off the whole day?
- I tried, but [a colleague] begged me to move our meeting from next Monday to Friday, so half day off it is.
- Does that mean I won't see you at work in December again?
