Why would somebody put strawberries in a perfectly good raspberry chocolate mousse? It's disgusting, if you ask me (which, I realize, nobody did, but still). Good thing Lena and Matt are used to me because my reaction at suddenly discovering a strawberry in my mouth was reminiscent of me finding onions on my plate but even less appetizing. After I managed to force down a bit of spinach earlier in the dinner, a strawberry proved a bit too much for my system. Anyway, made sure Lena had a good dessert before she departed for Japan. Also, realized that for three months I won't have anybody to bug when I am bored at work. Any volunteers? :)

Итак, что же я извлекла из своего недельного трейнинга (кроме простуды):

Instructor, while describing one of the less useful features:
If anybody knows why this [feature] is helpful, please, tell us!

Instructor, while erasing something from the board:
I am just going to delete this.

During the discussion on why we should care about the size of the created pages:
-- I am sure somebody in this class is still on dial-up.
-- Yeah, we don't have DSL in our area yet.
-- No cable either?
-- There is cable but I won't pay them for it! - after a heartbeat, - I've got DSL in my other house, though.
-- Wow, he won't pay for cable but he's got another house just for DSL. That's dedication! [We all work for company that provides DSL. Cable is our competitor.]

While discussing places for lunch:
-- Salad is what they feed to the things I eat.

During a break, talking about stupid things teenagers do:
-- My 17-year-old son drove over the railroad track, launched the car about 90 feet up in the air, smashed it into three trees, taking one clear out of the ground and walked away from it!
-- And then he killed him!
