riontelCaused an inordinate amount of excitement in my doctor's office today. They were trying to take my blood and I passed out. Twice. According to the girl who was doing the procedure I came about, looked around and promptly passed out again. I only remember saying "I am not feeling so well" and then hearing loud "Rimma, Rimma!" Good thing I was already lying down when it happened.
Doctor used the opportunity to show his assistants (two girls who are just studying to become doctors) what to do in such situations. Told them they should ask the person some questions to check if they are completely awake. To illustrate, he asked me who was our current president. I said an idiot. He said, "yeah, she is alright." Then we talked some more with the girls, they were keeping me company till I was able to get up. Turns out one of them is going to be on Jeopardy in a month! I was quite impressed.
Will have to go back at some point because they didn't actually manage to collect any blood, it refused to flow. Got a Jolly Ranger lollipop out of it, though :)
