riontelOn Sunday on the way home we (me, really, N. was just taken along for the ride) were trying to remember the name of one of the seven dwarfs (from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", naturally). The youngest one, I think. In fact, we couldn’t remember the names of any of them, I’ve actually never seen the movie and N. couldn’t possibly care less and at 1 am didn’t even feel like humoring me.
In the next fifteen minutes I came up with such masterpieces as Scruffy, Sloppy, Stuffy, Spotty, Spiffy, Sleepy, Skippy, Stoopy, Snoozy, Snooty... All 'S' names because I seemed to recall that the little dwarf’s name started with an 'S'. Then, for a few brief moments, N. hoped I finally ran out of ideas until I barged in on him brushing his teeth to announce "I came up with another one! Slutty!"
- Dwarfs can’t be 'slutty'!
- And why ever not?
- Maybe, if it’s a gay dwarf...
- So? I mean, what do you think they were doing all that time before the Snow White showed up?
At this point N. emphatically suggested that I stop thinking about dwarves. Smarmy, Smutty, Skimpy and a speculation on whether it shouldn’t now be called "Snow White and the Seven Vertically Challenged Individuals" and finally, in an effort to save N.’s sanity, I went to sleep.
