Мечта идиота
Думаю людям, которые поучаствовали будет интересно посмотреть что же это такое они мне подарили :)
Last week I asked Lena, Matt, and N. whether they wouldn't be so kind as to actually put together the gift they gave me. They were surprisingly cooperative and showed up on Sunday ready for action. Hopefully the neighbors were also ready, because our method of bookcase building involved a surprising amount of hammering and general loud banging.
Hey, look, we are all done!
Up they go. Эх, дубинушка, ухнем...
Unfortunately, three engineers and one sysadmin managed to attach one side of one case upside down, so some banging and adjusting and more banging later...
... they were done all over again.
The next two days I spent sorting out through stacks of books piled on my couches (that's not all of them, btw), trying to come up with some arranging scheme.
In case anybody is wondering, they are arranged by height ;)
I now have ample space for all my books and then some. So, if you feel the urge to get me some, feel free ;)
